Postcard from Nantucket

I got my leggings on and I have just finished putting a refreshing face mask by patchology. As I type this I’m looking like Jason Voorhees coming out of a hot yoga class. It was time to give my skin some much needed TLC after several weeks of neglect on the road. But tonight for me is about so much more than at home beauty treatments and self deprecating humor. It’s about taking a moment to reflect and express gratitude for all that it’s good in life.

Just a little over a week ago I celebrated my 31st birthday. Make no mistake: I’m settling into the 3rd floor just fine. And the view from here is simply amazing.  The birthday force was strong with me last week. I was lucky enough to commemorate the occasion in the beautiful and quaint island of Nantucket. I was there for work, but, hey, not a bad place to be. I  missed my love Cesar, my family and friends like crazy! But my heart was full to be surrounded by so much love and positive vibes from my work family. They went the extra mile to make the day a memorable one.

So, about Nantucket: I can tell you I pretty much fell in love with the island as soon as we arrive from the cape via the ferry. Something about it felt magical to me. I seriously doubt this will be the last time I’ll be there. It isn’t exactly the most budget friendly place I’ve ever been to. I’m not sure how I’ll pull it off, but there just gotta be a next time for me.

The island is so charming. Whether sunny or overcast Nantucket has a uniqueness that comes through in each corner. img_4787-1

If there was one thing that made this trip super memorable was catching the sunset over at Madaket Beach. I just felt, like wow, what a time to be alive. If you visit Nantucket, add this to your list. And if you’re hungry after, I recommend checking out Madaket Millies. Their tacos are the bomb!

That’s all I have for now, but I will soon be sharing where I end up next. Hugs, kisses and light!

Hasta pronto,

Paloma
