Homemade Baked Sweet Potato Chips

Something about Super Bowl Sunday got me think about snacking. Instead of reaching for a bag of chips, I decided to make my own. Homemade is better! 🙂 So yummy and crispy and most definitely much healthier alternative.

INGREDIENTS:
Sweet potato
Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper
Spices (you can pretty much add any spices you enjoy. For this recipe I used the following:)
Dried chives
Garlic powder
Chili powder

 

 

PREPARATION:
– Pre-heat the oven at 400° F
– Cut the potato in thin slices and place in a bowl
– Add your spices, salt and pepper and olive oil. Make sure to mix well and that each slice gets oil.
– Place the slices in a baking sheet and take to oven for 20-25 minutes. Flip them half way though. (Note: The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the slices.)
– Take out of the oven and let them sit for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
